Tasteful and respectful attire is expected in all public areas of the Club.

**Appropriate golf course attire for men include: **Tops designed and tailored for golf (including mock necks); bottoms designed and tailored for golf (excludes denim); golf shoes or athletic shoes without spikes; caps should always be worn with the peak forward; tops must be tucked in unless they are designed to be worn untucked. 

**Appropriate golf course attire for women include: **Tops designed and tailored for golf (including those without collars or sleeves); bottoms designed and tailored for golf (leggings are acceptable, denim is not); golf shoes or athletic shoes without spikes; caps should always be worn with the peak forward.  Dresses tailored for golf and appropriate length are acceptable. 

Appropriate clubhouse attire includes: all golf attire as noted above; denim and other casual wear in good repair and tastefully tailored is acceptable. Caps are not to be worn in the dining room. Note that some Clubs may exercise discretionary dress regulations in certain areas of the clubhouse at certain times.  If you are unsure of the appropriateness of your attire, please contact your Glen Abbey to confirm.

Dress Code

Join us for a spectacular day of golf on a truly iconic course. 

The second annual Indi Mortgage Classic is a "9 & Dine" format; combining the love of golf and more opportunity for socializing. The shorter format (9 holes vs 18) allows both seasoned golfers and beginners to enjoy a more leisurely pace. A delicious 3 course meal and open bar will follow your day on the greens.

Registration runs from 2:00 - 2:30 pm; be sure to come ready to tee off at 3:00 pm (registration will be located just outside the pro-shop; club rentals are $75.00 + taxes).

The Indi Mortgage Classic: 9 & Dine (2025)

The historical Glen Abbey Golf Course was designed by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus; the Club has hosted the RBC Canadian Open, a PGA Tour event and Canada's National Open Championship, 28 times.   

You are sure to enjoy your day at this unique and picturesque Golf Club whose breathtaking scenery will provide the perfect backdrop to the 2nd Annual Indi Mortgage Classic: 9 & Dine. 

Glen Abbey Golf Club boasts a spectacular clubhouse facility and property home to the Academies of ClubLink, the headquarters of Golf Canada, the Canadian Golf Museum and Hall of Fame, and the TaylorMade Performance Lab.

Disco/70's

In the disco era of the 1970s, fashion was all about glamour, flash, and movement, for both men and women.

*For women, popular disco attire included:*

- **Glamorous Dresses and Jumpsuits**: Often made of shiny, slinky fabrics like satin, lamé, and stretch knit. They were frequently halter-necked, backless, or featured deep V-necks. Wrap dresses were also very popular.
- **Sequins and Glitter**: Anything that caught the light on the dance floor was in style. This included sequined tops, dresses, and sometimes even pants.
- **High-Waisted, Wide-Leg Pants**: Bell bottoms or palazzo pants were common, often paired with fitted tops.
- **Hot Pants/Short Shorts**: Worn for dancing, often with platform shoes.
- **Platform Shoes**: Essential for both height and a dramatic silhouette.
-** Statement Accessories**: Large hoop earrings, oversized sunglasses, scarves, and glittery makeup.

*For men, disco fashion was also bold and often flamboyant:*

- **Polyester Suits**: Especially in bold colours like white (think Saturday Night Fever), or bright pastels, often with wide lapels.
- **Bell Bottoms or Flared Pants**: A key silhouette, often in polyester or denim.
- **Satin Shirts**: Open at the collar to reveal chest hair or gold chains. Ruffled shirts were also popular.
- **Leisure Suits**: Coordinated jackets and trousers, often made of polyester, designed for comfort and style.
- **Platform Shoes/Cuban Heels**: Adding height and flair.
- **Gold Chains and Medallions**: Worn over or under shirts.
- **Big Collars**: Shirts with exaggerated, pointed collars that often extended over the lapels of a jacket.

Overall, the disco look emphasized a sense of freedom, extravagance, and fun, designed to stand out under the flashing lights of the disco club.

**TIP:**
Keep in mind that you might end up doing a bit of dancing, consider wearing something comfortable that allows for you to bust a move should you be so inspired.

We strongly encourage you to get down and get groovy by attending the Gala "in costume"...embrace the era where disco ruled (think late 60's to it's peak popularity mid-to late 70's).

Remember to select the events you wish to attend during the registration process: The Symposium, The Gala, or Both? You must register for The Indi's (using the Register Now button below) and hotel room(s) separately (see The Venue section).
