The dress code on resort fluctuates from Resort Casual (breakfast/lunch) to Evening Elegant (dinner). So what's the difference?

**Resort Casual** (Daytime)
So, what does resort casual actually mean? In general, it is a step up from casual wear but not as formal as cocktail or business attire. Typically, a resort casual dress code implies the following (which is great for a daytime restaurant meal, walkabout the grounds, or attending workshops or activities):

- Breezy, casual sundresses
- Cute rompers
- Capris and Bermuda shorts
- Polo shirts, dress shirts and t-shirts
- Sneakers and tennis shoes
- Sandals of any kind
- Linen pants/skirts

**Around the Pool**
Around the pool and beachfront, including at the snack bar, you can be as informal as you’re personally comfortable with getting. 

- Shorts, including jeans and athletic
- T-shirts and tanks of any kind
- Sandals and flip-flops
- Swimsuit cover-ups
- Hats of all types

**Resort Elegant** (In the Evening)

Once the sun sets, most resorts like to elevate the mood across their property by requesting guests don slightly more formal attire. And who wouldn’t want to? Dressing up makes the occasion feel more special.

Male-identifying guests should prepare to pack:

- A collared shirt or two. Dress or polo is up to you.
- Long pants like slacks or khakis. Shorts are often not allowed, even golf shorts.
- Closed-toe dressier shoes. Sneakers are typically frowned upon and sandals are a definite no.

Female-identifying guests should prepare to pack:

- Dresses (more dressy than casual)
- Skirts with a dressy tank/blouse
- Long dresses or jumpsuits
- Airy dress pants
- Dress sandals, heels


**Here are some other items to keep in mind when packing for a resort vacation:**

- The island is both hot and breezy - hats, hair ties are beneficial. 
- Breathable fabrics are key; pack light, airy fabrics that won’t make you sweat.
- Skip the jeans. Denim can be too casual for a resort (and much too hot), consider opting for linen pants or chinos.
- Boat shoes and flip-flops are your friend. These shoes are comfortable and versatile, and they’ll go with just about anything.  Be sure to pack running shoes if you plan on attending the team outing (one of the event options requires tie-up footwear).
- Reef safe sunscreen/after-sun lotion
- Sunglasses
- Swimsuits and Cover-ups
- Fitness Attire (if you plan to hit the onsite gym/take a yoga class)
- Passport
- Your Mobile Device (+ chargers) < event communication will be done by text/email/indi app
